Support

sweetRegret is a humorous one-tap sugar tally for iPhone. Tap a treat every time you eat one, watch the cookie slowly lose faith in you, and get a Sugar Wrapped recap each week and month. No calories, no grams, no account.

Plus and purchases

What is included with sweetRegret Plus?
Plus unlocks full history, Trends, personal records, Reality Check estimates, custom treats, two extra personality packs, additional recap themes, alternate app icons, and a second daily reminder. Core logging, the current Weekly Regret and Sugar Wrapped recaps, shareable recap images, and one editable evening reminder remain free. See the Plus feature overview for more detail.
I purchased Plus, but it is still locked. What should I do?
Open Settings inside sweetRegret and tap Restore purchases. Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account used for the purchase. Restoring does not charge you again. If Plus is still locked, close and reopen the app; if that does not help, email thilinaabeyrathna@gmail.com.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open Settings inside sweetRegret and tap Manage subscription. You can also open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, and select Sweet Regret (the App Store listing name). Apple manages subscription billing and cancellation. Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription. See Apple's subscription guide for help.
How do I request a refund?
App Store payments and refund eligibility are handled by Apple, so sweetRegret cannot issue refunds directly. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose Request a refund, and select the relevant purchase or subscription.
What happens if my Plus subscription ends?
Plus-only features become locked again, but your treat logs, past activity, recaps, and backup data are not deleted. Custom treats you already created remain available with their history; adding new custom treats requires Plus. Premium voices and themes fall back to their free defaults, and a premium app icon returns to the default icon.

Using sweetRegret

Is my data private?
Yes. Your treat logs and settings stay on your phone. There are no ads and no tracking. Apple and RevenueCat process only the purchase information needed for sweetRegret Plus; they do not receive your treat data. Treat data only leaves your device if you export it or share a recap image yourself. See the privacy policy for the full details.
How do I export my data?
Open Settings inside the app and choose "Export my data". You'll get a JSON file that you can save or send anywhere through the iOS share sheet.
Can I change the cookie's attitude?
Yes — open Settings and pick a Voice. Classic is the free default. sweetRegret Plus unlocks two personality packs — Ruthless (deadpan and savage) and the Overly Supportive Enabler (relentlessly, suspiciously encouraging). Switching a voice swaps it everywhere: the tap snark, your Sugar Wrapped recap lines, and your reminders.
How do the reminders work?
In Settings, turn on the Evening check-in. iOS asks for notification permission the moment you flip it on — and only then — so nothing pops up before you've opted in. You'll get one nightly nudge to log, written in whichever voice you've chosen. You can change the time; sweetRegret Plus adds an optional second daily check-in. The nudges are about honesty, never about eating less, and they're scheduled entirely on your phone — no servers. Turn the toggle off to cancel them.
How are Reality Check sugar estimates calculated?
Reality Check uses broad average sugar amounts for each treat category to create playful estimates such as sugar cubes, teaspoons, kilograms, and cola-can equivalents. These figures are not nutritional measurements or medical advice. Custom items marked non-sugary remain in your totals and history but are excluded from sugar estimates.
How do I report a bug?
Email thilinaabeyrathna@gmail.com with what happened, and your iPhone model and iOS version if you can. That context makes bugs much easier to track down.
When is Android coming?
sweetRegret is currently iPhone-only. Android is something being considered for the future, but there is no promised release date yet.
